It looks at the various factors responsible, ranging from the political and the historical, as well as advances in science and art theory. It shows how fine art isn't just a subject on it's own, but is influenced by many other subjects.

Something a little different here. This essay written by Dan Clarke looks at the way the Mafia came about over the the years, and has been used by various Governments as a scapegoat for all manner of political problems. Strangely enthralling.
